We are very excited about the Grand Opening of the new Crosstown Parkway Extension on September 28, 2019.
Hillmoor Optical is proud to be a Gold Sponsor of the event and we so are grateful for the opportunity to provide quality vision care and added convenience to customers throughout Port St. Lucie and St. Lucie West, including the communities of Tradition and PGA Village.
We will be offering Complementary Eyeglass Lens Care Kits at our booth at the Community Celebration on Sept. 28.
A new gateway to business in Port St. Lucie
The Parkway Extension provides a much-needed access over the North Fork of the St. Lucie River to U.S. 1 in Port St. Lucie. The new extension connects the existing Crosstown Parkway from Manth Lane to U.S. 1. The project extends along the existing West Virginia Drive, crossing over the North Fork of the St. Lucie River and connecting into U.S. 1 at Village Green Drive. The project is approximately two miles in length with the bridge being approximately 4,000 feet. The six lane divided highway and bridge will serve as a multi-modal transportation alternative to include accommodations for automobile, bicycle, pedestrian and public transit.
The end of the construction for the Crosstown Parkway Extension Project marks a new beginning for the City of Port St. Lucie, residents and visitors. With more than 189,000 residents, the City worked diligently since 1980 to make this project and corridor a reality for the community. For more information, go to the City of Port St. Lucie Website.
Celebrating added safety and convenience for residents across the river and in St. Lucie West
The Crosstown Parkway Extension marks completion with a Community Celebration and Block Party on Saturday, September 28. The project provides a new bridge crossing over the North Fork of the St. Lucie River, connecting the existing Crosstown Parkway from Manth Lane to U.S. 1 Highway at Village Green Drive. The project is approximately two miles long with a 4,000 foot bridge. The six-lane divided highway and bridge will include accommodations for automobile, bicycle, pedestrian and public transit. The project will help alleviate traffic congestion, providing relief to the two existing crossings at Port St. Lucie and Prima Vista Boulevards. The project will improve public safety, emergency response times, help reduce travel times and enhance mobility.
